Helicopter Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Well-Known Southern California Coast
A helicopter hovering above a crowded southern California shoreline suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, eventually descending rapidly and crashing into a line of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Videos shared online depict the helicopter beginning to twirl near the beach then descending near the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged among palm trees and a steps close to the shoreline route.
First Aid Details
The Huntington Beach fire department said five individuals were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the accident on the weekend.
Three people on the road were injured. Details on their injuries were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
