Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News

Paramount Skydance will start significant workforce reductions beginning on 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 positions in the United States under a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

The workforce reduction follow the combination of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August valued at $8.4bn.

More international job cuts are likely, as the firm intending to announce full details in its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.

Previous updates had indicated that Paramount planned to reduce from 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.

By December 2024, the company employed about 18,600 full- and part-time employees plus 3,500 contract workers.

The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
