The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in an LA Traffic Collision

Vince Zampella, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company which he helped establish.

The celebrated video game developer passed away following his car crashed and burst into flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on this past Sunday, as reported by.

"This represents an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts said.
